About

Details about me can be found on my research webpage.

I found Glop in the pages of “Computing: an introduction” by Fred GruenBerger, published in 1969.

From pg 287, “Glop - Unwanted information. For example when one approaches a machine on which someone has just finished running a program, its storage is full of his instructions and data. To you, this is all glop. Note that if your routine is properly written, the glop cannot hurt your routine. Glop is frequently called hash or garbage. Our British chums call it rubbish.”
